The focus of Dr. Weninger’s research over many years has been injuries of the knee joint and wear-related diseases of the cartilage.

Dr. Prosquill is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology, as well as a specialist in trauma surgery and sports traumatology. As an accident and sports physician, she specializes in knee surgery.

Building on her many years of clinical experience, Dr. Prosquill pursues a regenerative treatment concept with Avancell: Her focus is on minimally invasive procedures to enable effective and gentle treatments for her patients. Dr. Prosquill is also a certified DIGEST user of shockwave therapy in Europe.

Dr. Matthias Geisler

As a specialist in orthopedics and orthopedic surgery, acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain are at the center of Dr. Geisler's therapeutic spectrum. He specializes in conservative therapies for the treatment of complaints in the areas of knee, hip, ankle, and shoulder joints, as well as back pain.

A particular focus of Dr. Geisler's work is on regenerative procedures such as treatment with peripheral stem cells, autologous blood, and shockwave therapy to treat arthritis and preserve the patient's own joint. Dr. Geisler also shares his expertise through lectures at national and international levels.

Dr. Robert Stangl

Dr. Stangl is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology as well as a specialist in trauma surgery. The focus of his extensive experience as a specialist lies in the treatment areas of knee traumatology and orthopedics, sports, and pediatric traumatology.

Dr. Stangl focuses on conservative orthopedics: with joint-preserving therapies and complementary methods of manual medicine, he strives to preserve your joint for as long as possible. As part of his clinic work, he also performs surgical procedures when necessary.

Dr. Christoph Konrath

Dr. Konrath is a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology as well as a specialist in trauma surgery. His focus lies in the treatment areas of knee traumatology and orthopedics, as well as sports traumatology.

Dr. Mahmoud Elshamly

Specialist in orthopedics and traumatology

As a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology, Dr. Elshamly specializes in the effective conservative treatment of orthopedic problems. His focus lies in the treatment of chronic back pain and disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine using minimally invasive techniques that impose minimal strain and offer significant advantages over conventional surgeries.

In addition to his specialist training, Dr. Elshamly deepened his expertise in the field of regenerative medicine through his doctoral studies on "Bones and Joint Regeneration". In 2020, he was awarded the Science Prize by the Austrian Society for Spinal Surgery. Dr. Elshamly also holds a diploma in Manual Medicine from the Austrian Medical Chamber.

Birgit Nicolussi Moretto

Patient consultation and site coordination

Ms. Nicolussi Moretto is a qualified nurse with many years of clinical experience in the areas of surgery, intensive care medicine and pediatrics, among others, and has appropriate specialist diplomas.

She looks after Avancell patients in all matters, from initial contact to advice and support on site and after the procedure.

Dr. Reich has 15 years of experience in strategy consulting with a focus on future technologies, including the healthcare sector.
